Arrested on warrant
On August 13, 2019 at 7:57 a.m., police were called to a residence on Bridge Street West for a report of an unwanted person. An investigation revealed the unwanted woman, a 34-year-old Belleville resident, was wanted on an arrest warrant held by the Kingston Police Service for breaching probation. She was arrested and held at city police headquarters before being turned over to Kingston Police on the authority of their warrant.
Break, enter and theft
On August 13, 2019 at 8:50 a.m., police attended to a residence in the Ashley Street area in the north end of the city for a reported break-in to a home. The home owner advised police that sometime between August 11 at noon and the morning of the 13th, unknown person(s) broke into the home through a window and stole a specified amount of cash. An investigation is continuing. Police are asking anyone with any information about this to contact investigating officer Cst. Theft charge
On August 13, 2019 at 4:16 p.m., police were called to a theft complaint at a north-end shopping centre. This investigation revealed a female to have been apprehended by store security for shoplifting merchandise. Police arrested and charged 39-year-old Brighton resident Erin Patricia Alkenbrack with theft under $5,000. She was released from custody on an appearance notice to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in September.
