It’s a bigger and spicier Spicy Food Contest planned for downtown Belleville this summer.
The fourth annual Spicy Food Contest, sponsored by the Belleville Downtown Improvement Area, will feature food from ten restaurants competing for the title of Spicy Food Champion.
That is up from three in 2016.
The event will be held in the Market Square, with each of the restaurants having a booth.

The event runs Sunday from noon to 3 p.m., in the square where the public can sample the spicy specialties at each booth.
There will be live music and even salsa dance lessons.
The Spicy Food Champion will be announced at the end of the event.
