The first Freedom Ride for Health in support of the Belleville General Hospital Foundation was all sunshine and smiles on the weekend.
The event saw over 60 cyclists participate in the event which raised over $5,000.
Cyclists began a 45 or 70 km ride in Belleville and through Prince Edward County.
Funds raised will be used to purchase priority medical equipment for BGH.
There was also a kids’ 4km ride and 11-year-old Peyton Bourgeois was the top fundraiser bringing in over $520. For his efforts he received a new bike from The Brake Room.
