- According to twitter, the crew of an RCAF CH-146 Griffon helicopter from 424 Transport and Rescue Squadron rescued seven people and a dog trapped on Franklin Island last night around 9 p.m. All were taken to Parry Sound.
Franklin Island is located on Georgian Bay in central Ontario.
