Three area beaches are not safe for swimming this weekend according to two public health agencies.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health says Tweed Park Beach on Stoco Lake has tested positive for high levels of bacteria, while the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit says Cedardale Beach in Brighton and Crowe Bay Fun Park in Campbellford are also unsafe.
The high levels of bacteria can cause various ailments like ear and eye infections, or skin rashes.
The beaches will be tested again next week with both health units providing updates.
