Residents in Carrying Place shouldn’t be alarmed by some military activity around the Trent-Severn Waterway and Millennium Trail next week.
Members of the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre will be conducting some training exercises on August 13 and while they’ll be wearing combat equipment and carrying weapons, the military says there is no risk to public safety.
The CAAWC conducts courses to qualify soldiers in a number of advanced infantry disciplines, with all of those exercises completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, and in compliance with all armed forces guidelines.
