The Belleville Downtown Improvement Area board hopes city council will approve a mobile food truck selling its wares in the downtown for a few days in the near future.
The franchise BeaverTails food truck operation has expressed interest in testing out the downtown Belleville market and the BDIA is suggesting one of its pastry trucks be allowed to operate in the downtown from Wednesday August 21 through Saturday August 24.
Many locals will be familiar with BeaverTails as they regularly take part in the Belleville Waterfront and Multicultural Festival and other events.
Council will discuss the request at its meeting Monday.
