Interest remains high in Belleville’s Physician Recruitment Program.
At its meeting Monday, city council will be asked to approve three new hopeful family
physicians and/or specialists to the program which provides each person with $150,000
over six years in exchange for a promise of at least five years practice in the city.
All three applicants have ties to the local area. Dr. Kaci Sheldon Carter would begin her practice in 2021.
The other two, Justin Whitaker and Maggie Li, are starting medical school and would begin practicing in 2025.
