A travelling exhibition on the Spanish Flu comes to Belleville this week.
The exhibition, called “Unmasking Influenza” tells the story of the pandemic that killed millions of people world-wide in the years after World War One, 1918, 1919, and 1920.
The exhibit comes to Glanmore National Historic Site on Thursday.
Education and Marketing Co-ordinator Melissa Wakeling comments on the Spanish Flu.
Wakeling tells Quinte News 350 people died in Hastings County from the flu.
There were no vaccines or antibiotic at the time.
Wakeling says many kinds of remedies were put forward, including even whiskey.
The exhibit is a presentation of the agency that oversees the federal agriculture, aerospace and science and technology museums.
It opens at a reception on Thursday evening, and will remain at Glanmore until October 6.
