The landscape on Belleville’s Station Street is going to look a little bit different in a week or so.
That’s because the former Trudeau Motors building is being torn down to make way for future development.
Realtor Jamie Troke tells Quinte News plans have been in the works for a while and the demolition is not related to a fire at the property last week.
He says the entire tear-down process will take about a week.
And Troke adds that once that’s complete, along with environmental assessments and rezoning, a pair of apartment buildings are slated to go up on the total three acre property.
He also says that there could be future plans to close Dafoe Street, which runs between the two lots, but there has been no official movement on that front.
