Two people have been arrested after provincial police raided a home in Napanee this (Thursday) morning.
Officers searched the home on Dundas Street, just before 9:30 a.m., seizing more than 30 grams of methamphetamine, along with an amount of hydromorphone, drug scales and paraphernalia and a pair of brass knuckles.
Thirty-four-year-old Thomas Roger Breen, of Napanee, is charged with a total of seven offences including:
- Possession of Proceeds obtained by Crime
- Possession of Stolen property
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition contrary to a Prohibition order
- Possession of a Prohibited Device
- Carry a concealed Prohibited Device
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
Twenty-four-year-old Brittany Leanne Baker, also of Napanee, is charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
Both were released with court dates in September.
In a press release, the provincial police force says “the OPP understand that addictions are a very difficult issue to deal with and we encourage anyone suffering from an addiction to please reach out to the services that are available through addiction and mental health services at 613-354-7388.”
