A local restaurant owner has won some prestigious recognition.
Alex Bruce, co-owner of The Lark, a restaurant and artisan cocktail bar in downtown Belleville, is a winner of the Ontario Hostelry Institute’s Top 30 Under 30 award.
Bruce says receiving the award validates what he and his wife Céline are doing at the establishment, which is driven by locally sourced foods and seasonality and zero waste.
He received the award in recognition of his leadership in hospitality and recently was featured on the May 2019 cover of Food Service and Hospitality magazine.
