We have an update on a fatal fire in Belleville over the weekend.
Saturday morning around 2:30 am, emergency crews responded to a home at 190 Dundas Street East.
A victim, 35 year old Damon Jewett was taken to hospital, where he succumb to his injuries.
Now police say the blaze is considered suspicious.
Police say they are working with fire investigators with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office and the Belleville Fire Department.
The people living in the main floor apartment escaped safely however that was not the case with the upstairs apartment unit.
