A criminal charge has been laid in connection with a minor residential fire in Bancroft last night (Tuesday).
The Bancroft Fire Department was called out shortly before 10 o’clock to a fire in a duplex at 28-B Woodview Lane in town.
Also responding were OPP officers and Hastings-Quinte paramedics.
Police spoke with a female tenant on the property and have charged 50-year-old Rosanne Gutoskie with arson and breaching a probation order.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office is also investigating.
She appears for a bail hearing today.
