Prince Edward County is issuing a partial burn ban due to high winds.
That means burning is restricted to a container with a screened top, or a small camp fire and as always, a permit is required for any burning you’re planning to do.
They can be applied for at Fire Station 1 on McDonald Drive, Shire Hall, or any PEC library.
An updated will be issued by the fire chief as conditions change.
Both the Belleville and Quinte West fire departments have not issued burn bans, but as is the case in The County, a permit is required if you’re planning any outdoor burning.
