The Belleville Police Service responded to 83 calls for service between July 29, 2019 at 5 a.m. and July 30, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Theft of Alcohol
On July 29, 2019 at 2:15 p.m., police responded to a business on Bell Blvd regarding the theft of alcohol. An investigation is currently ongoing and police believe they will be able to identify the suspect once video surveillance is obtained.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On July 29, 2019 at 2:45 p.m., police responded to the area of North Front Street regarding a two-vehicle collision. On arrival, a police investigation revealed that the damage was minor in nature and that there were no injuries. As a result, police learned that a 35-year-old female was at fault, resulting in the female being charged with Change Lane Not In Safety under the Highway Traffic Act.
Attempt Break & Enter
On July 29, 2019 at 3:45 p.m., police responded to the area of Jane Street regarding an attempted Break & Enter. An investigation revealed that the suspect removed tools from the home owner’s shed and used them in an attempt to gain entry into the residence. Entry was not gained and police are reminding the public to ensure sheds and tools are properly secured.
