Drug and Breach charges
Belleville ON- On July 21, 2019 at 8 a.m., police responded to a call of an intoxicated male staggering in the east end of the city. The 37-year-old male was located and arrested for his own protection and while searching the male, a quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine was found on him. The male was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released with a court date in August.
Belleville ON – On July 21, 2019 at 9:30 a.m., an officer on patrol in the east end located a 40-year-old male who was currently on a probation order not to be found in Hastings County. While arresting the male, a quantity of a suspected illegal opioid was found on him. The male was charged with breaching three counts of his probation and possession of a controlled substance. As a result he was held for a bail hearing.
Motor Vehicle Collison
Belleville ON – On July 21, 2019 at 2:30 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of North Front Street and College Street. There were no injuries and as a result of the investigation one of the drivers was charged with careless driving.
Warrant arrest
Belleville ON– On July 21, 2019 at 11:30 p.m. police attended an address in the east end for an unrelated investigation. While in the residence the responding officer recognized a male who was currently wanted by Quinte West OPP. The 27-year-old male was arrested and was turned over to the OPP.
