The Belleville Police Service responded to 88 calls for service between July 19, 2019 at 5 a.m. and July 20, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Animal in Distress
A 19-year-old Belleville man is facing a charge of causing an animal to be in distress according to Belleville Police.
Police were called to a north end business on Friday around 5:40 p.m. for a dog that had been left in a vehicle.
It was determined the temperature inside the vehicle was 45 degrees Celsius.
The dog was removed from the vehicle and the owner returned a short time later and was subsequently charged.
The man is facing the charges under the OSPCA Act.
Arrest on Warrants
A man known to Belleville Police to have arrest warrants was placed in custody on Friday afternoon.
Police say 26-year-old Adam Wood was recognized by officers on patrol in the east end of the city.
He will answer two fraud charges, two possession of stolen property charges, theft and two failing to appear charges when he appears for a show cause hearing today (Saturday).
