Two people from Cramahe Township are now facing domestic related charges as a result of two separate investigations by the Northumberland OPP.
Police say on Tuesday shortly after 4:30 p.m., officers responded to an address in the town of Colborne where they arrested and charged a 43-year-old Cramahe Township woman with assault. She was released and is scheduled to appear in court on a date in September 2019.
On Wednesday, just after 7:00 a.m., police arrived at a residence in the town of Colborne after receiving reports of a domestic dispute.
Officers arrested and charged a 26-year-old male from Cramahe Township with assault and uttering threats to damage property. He was held for a bail court hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg later that same day.
No names will be released to protect the identities of the victims.
