Belleville police arrested four people on theft charges after investigating incidents of shoplifting at two retail stores in the north end of the city yesterday (Thursday).
Two men from Kingston, one from Hawkesbury, and another man with no fixed address were charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
One of the men was found to be in possession of illegal drugs.
Police say among the items stolen were vacuum cleaners and electronics.
All four will appear in court August 15.
