A 50-year-old man from Prince Edward County was charged with assault after a loud incident at an apartment in Belleville’s east end late last night (Tuesday).
City police responded after reports of yelling and a possible physical altercation at the apartment just before 10:30.
Police had to force their way into the apartment and the man was arrested and charged. A 52-year-old woman from Belleville was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking as she was not to communicate with the man after a previous assault.
Both were held for a bail hearing.
