The Belleville Police Service responded to 55 calls between July 14, 2019 at 5 a.m. and July 15, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Stolen vehicle abandoned after crash
On July 14, 2019 at 4:50 a.m., police were called to the area of Highway 62 just north of Maitland Drive regarding a heavily damaged vehicle in the ditch. Police located a blue Toyota Rav 4 heavily damaged with the air bags deployed. Police searched the area, but they were unable to locate the driver. Police were then able to confirm that the vehicle had been stolen overnight from a Belleville address. Belleville Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Cst. Domestic Breach
On July 14, 2019 at 11 p.m., police responded to an address on William Street regarding a domestic incident. An investigation ensued where police learned that a 40-year-old Belleville man was at the residence breaching several conditions. The male was arrested and held in custody at the Belleville Police Service where he awaits a bail hearing.
On July 14, 2019 at 7:50 p.m., police responded to the area of Ann St. and Victoria Avenue regarding a domestic incident. On arrival police located a couple and through investigation learned that the 52-year-old Belleville female was intoxicated breaching her conditions from a previous domestic. She was arrested and charged for breaching those conditions and held in custody until sober. She has a court date in July to face the charges.
Intoxicated male
On July 15, 2019 at 1:08 a.m., police responded to the area of Moira Street East as it was reported there was a male passed out on the sidewalk. Police attended the area and located a 24-year-old Belleville man who was heavily intoxicated. The male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place under the Liquor Licence Act and held in custody at the Belleville Police Service until he was sober.
