Stirling-Rawdon council is set to pass a by-law controlling where marijuana can be grown and/or processed.
Mayor of Stirling-Rawdon Bob Mullin says a lot of people showed up at Monday’s Planning Advisory Committee meeting to hear a discussion on marijuana but seemed satisfied with a proposed by-law as there were no questions following a presentation on the issue.
The by-law passed by the committee sets out minimum distance setbacks from residential properties of varying lengths but Mullin says there was another important regulation in the document.
Stirling-Rawdon council will vote on the marijuana by-law at its next meeting July 22.
