Brigitte Thibault from Rosemere, Quebec has taken the lead after the second round of the Golf Ontario Women’s Amateur Championship at Black Bear Ridge in Belleville. Thibault shot a 5 under 67 and is 6 under through two days. She is 4 shots ahead of first round leader Hailey McLaughlin of Markham. Thibault is a member of Team Canada and recently competed at the National Women’s Amateur at Augusta.
Jesse Mercer of Plainfield had a 2 over 74 on her home course. She is tied for 12th at 7 over. Round 3 is today.
