Belleville Police Service responded to 78 calls for service from July 9, 2019 at 5 a.m. to July 10, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Public Intoxication
Shortly before 10 p.m. on July 9, 2019, police attended a family dispute in the city’s west end that spilled into the street. A 38-year-old South Simcoe man was arrested for public intoxication after tempers did not subside upon initial police arrival. The man was held overnight until sober and released on a provincial offence notice.
At approximately 12:10 a.m. on July 10, 2019, police received a call with regards to a disturbance in a west end apartment building. Upon arrival, one half of the disturbance was located in the hallway of the apartment and eventually arrested for being intoxicated in the common area of a residence. The 26-year-old Belleville female was taken to The Belleville Police Service where she was held until morning when she was released on a provincial offence notice.
