7 a.m. UPDATE: HIGHWAY 401 EAST AT BELLEVILLE IS NOW OPEN TO TRAFFIC
Highway 401 eastbound at Highway 37 in Belleville is closed to traffic this morning (Tuesday) after a collision between two tractor trailers in the area of the Black Diamond Cheese factory.
The collision occurred shortly before 4 o’clock. The drivers were not injured but there is a lot of debris on the highway and some diesel fuel was reported to be leaking.
Meanwhile, the Mohawk Fire Department was called out to a residence at 414 York Road. The home’s porch was on fire. A male was treated by EMS paramedics for non-life-threatening burns.
That incident also occurred shortly before 4 o’clock this morning.
