PHOTOS: Fire at Hawkins Cheezies plant in Belleville

Belleville firefighters have dealt with a blaze at the Hawkins Cheezies plant this afternoon.

Calls came in just after noon about a fire in a fryer and small flames could be seen coming from the roof of the buildingon Pinnacle Street, south of Dundas.

At this point there’s no word on a cause and no early reports of injuries.

Employees had been evacuated from the building and were staging across the street, with at least one person on scene noting that everyone had been accounted for.
