Prince Edward County OPP have charged three young people, including a youth, after allegations that a fraudulent cheque had been used to steal money from three different financial institutions in Picton.
Staff at one of the banking institutions complained last May that someone had deposited a fake cheque from Picton Manor.
Picton Manor has been closed since 2012.
OPP say three different males withdrew over $10,000 on the suspect’s account at three different banks.
Facing fraud over $5,000 and forged document charges are 19-year-old Galen Swackhammer of Bloomfield, and 18-year-old Tristen Usher and a 16-year-old boy, both of Picton.
Anyone with concerns regarding cheques from Picton Manor should contact the OPP.
