Belleville council will decide whether or not to make a major donation to an important facility serving much of the Quinte region at its meeting Monday.
City staff is recommending council donate a total of $400,000, spread over 8 years, toward the construction of a new 16,500 square foot facility for the Quinte Humane Society.
The City of Quinte West has donated a total of $250,000 to the $10 million project, which would be built on Wallbridge Loyalist Road near Old Highway 2.
If council agrees, the money would come from the Elexicon Revenue Reserve Fund.
