Just weeks after hosting the first “Belleville Open” the city will once again be home to a major golf event.
The 104th Ontario Women’s Amateur and Mid Amateur Championship tees off at Black Bear Ridge Golf Club on Monday morning.
Ellie Szeryk will be back to defend her amateur title while Julia Hodgson returns to defend her Mid Amateur Championship.
The tournament will be kicked off with a ceremonial tee shot by 95-year-old Belleville Sports Hall of Famer Betty Ingram Wonnacott. Betty has represented Ontario eight times and is a former Provincial Senior Champion.
