Hastings County council has approved a salary hike for its non-union staff members.
About 130 people will get a 1.7% pay increase, effective January 1, 2019.
Director of Human Resources Shaune Lightfoot tells Quinte News it is a one-year increase, to the end of 2019.
The non-union staff include managers, supervisors and professional staff, in departments such as Long Term Care, Paramedic Services, and Social Services.
