Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee may make a final recommendation on a controversial housing development proposed for an area not far north of Walmart.
City staff is recommending the committee approve a rezoning and a draft plan of subdivision for five semi-detached houses totalling 10 residences at 427 Farnham Road near Moira Lea Court.
Residents of Moira Lea Court have strongly opposed the development, which was originally proposed to hold 13 townhouses.
They have traffic, safety, and aesthetic concerns.
The Planning Advisory Committee meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at city hall.
City council would have to make the final decision on the matter.
