On June 26, 2019 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Central Hastings Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment responded to the report of suspicious persons in Deloro, Ontario. Investigation revealed that two persons had broken into a home and drank some alcohol in the residence.
After waking up the homeowner, they were confronted and the home owner was assaulted.
The two persons left and went to another residence and verbally confronted the homeowner at the door.
Charged is 29-year-old Douglas King of Marmora with:
- Mischief Under $5000
- Break, Enter a place – commit indictable Offence
- Utter Threats to Cause Bodily Death or Bodily Harm
- Assault
Charged is 27-year-old Justin Laveque of Marmora with:
- Break, Enter a place – commit indictable Offence
The accuseds will appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville, on July 11, 2019.
