Firefighters’ quick response kept damage to a minimum at an apartment building in Napanee early this morning (Thursday).
The Napanee Fire Department was called out around 12:40 this morning when flames were seen on a second floor balcony of the Jubilee seniors apartment building at 318 Camden Road.
Firefighters arrived moments later and had the flames out by just after 1 o’clock. A couple of apartments had to be evacuated and they were ventilated. There was some smoke and water damage and one person was treated on scene for smoke inhalation.
The affected residents were allowed back into their apartments by 2:30 this morning.
