The search is on for a new Chief Administrative Officer in the City of Belleville.
In a press release issued Thursday evening (June 27) it was announced that CAO Rick Kester was no longer working for the city, effective immediately
In the release the city gave no reason for Kester’s departure, although it does say he has been an important member of the staff and had made valuable contributions.
Kester began working for the City of Belleville as Deputy Chief Engineer in 2001 after which he was appointed Acting CAO in 2010 and was given the permanent position in 2011.
