Members of the Belleville Lawn Bowling Club celebrated this morning.
Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis was on hand this morning to announce the club is the recipient of $25,000 in funding as part of the New Horizons for Seniors Program.
The funds will be used to purchase equipment according to Charlie Rowbotham, past president of the club.
He says this equipment will be a big help.
The equipment will support the social participation and inclusion of seniors in the area.
The club was established in 1900 and used to be located on William Street.
Membership fluctuates between 35 and 45 members annually.
