An eyesore in downtown Belleville is getting torn down Monday morning
The former Cabaret strip club will be a pile of rubble in a few hours time.
The city purchased the property in January for $675,000, with the asking price at $1.5 million.
Mayor Mitch Panciuk says, with the demolition the site will be used as a parking lot in the short term.
Panciuk says it will eventually be part of the market square and riverfront redevelopment.
