The NHL draft takes place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver tonight and tomorrow. While most of the players will come from the Canadian Hockey League, U.S. colleges and Europe, others will come from the Junior “A” ranks.
That includes Wellington Dukes defenceman Zac Uens. The Belleville product is ranked 130th among North American prospects following his sophomore season in the OJHL.
The 6′ 1″ 180 pound Uens scored 6 goals and 16 assists in 34 games with Wellington this season.
Uens is committed to Merrimack College in North Andover Massachusetts beginning with the 2019-2020 season.
