It appears cool temperatures and lots of rain are affecting lots of produce in the region, including strawberries.
Colin Campbell of Campbellās Orchards tells Quinte News that strawberries are about two weeks behind schedule.
He says usually by the middle of June they are up to their eyeballs in the crop, but not this year.
The owner of the orchard says that he has never seen them this late and that has to do with cool temperatures at night.
Although it is a late crop, he believes it will be a good one.
Dozens of farmers in the region say the heavy rain is to blame for many crops just getting started now, or not at all.
