On June 19, 2019 shortly after 6:00 p.m., officers from Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) as well as Kingston Fire and Frontenac Paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 15 and John F. Scott Road in Kingston involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.
The highway was closed for several hours while OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) were at the scene.
The investigation has revealed that the vehicles collided as the motorcycle was south bound and the passenger was north bound on Highway 15.
As result of the collision the driver of the motorcycle, Diane Torry, a 56-year-old from Wolfe Island, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The two adult occupants of the passenger vehicle were taken to Kingston General Hospital and assessed for minor injuries.
Shortly before 2 a.m. the road was reopened.
The collision is currently under investigation and charges are pending.
