Tyendinaga Police Department, Fire Department and paramedics say they have responded to an accident on Highway 49 early this afternoon at approximately 11:30 a.m.
OPP report that a passenger vehicle collided with a tractor trailer. A female driver was extracted from the vehicle by paramedics.
Road closures in both directions are expected for the next 4-5 hours along Highway 49 at the Bay of Quinte Skyway Bridge between Bayshore Road and York Road as OPP continue to investigate the scene.
