A crew from 8 Wing Trenton’s 424 Transport and Rescue Squadron came to the aid of a man in medical distress near the Ontario/Quebec border yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.
The crew, flying a Griffon helicopter left the base at 1:38 in the afternoon and an hour later reached a remote area west of the Dumoine River in Quebec.
The patient was hoisted into the chopper and flown south to hospital in Pembroke for further treatment.
