In less than two weeks, thousands of residents from Bay of Quinte, along with others throughout Ontario, Canada, and even the world, will be in the record books.
On Saturday June 29 in Quinte West, Operation Stand Proud is taking place.
At Centennial Park in Trenton, Guinness World Records will oversee the attempt for Largest Human Maple Leaf.
The current record is 1,589, set in North Vancouver in 2017. Close to 3,500 have already registered.
It is all part of the Canada Day festivities in Quinte West.
All proceeds from the event will go to support Soldier On, who work with military members and veterans.
