A minor collision between a vehicle and a cyclist in Belleville led to a licence suspension and drug charges against a Quinte West man last night (Wednesday).
City police report an 8-year-old boy on a bicycle suffered minor injuries after being hit by a car at 7:45 at West Moira and Yeomans streets.
The vehicle’s driver was not at fault but was found to have been drinking. His licence was suspended for three days.
Then police seized cocaine and magic mushrooms in the man’s car.
Harold Treverton, 47, was charged with possession of illegal drugs and appears in court June 24.
