SUBMISSION BY THE OPP(Napanee, ON) – Officers with the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a structure fire in Colebrook before 11 p.m. on June 10, 2019. A caller reported that there were parties inside the structure.
Stone Mills Fire Rescue attended along with Paramedics. The structure was fire was contained by fire crews. Rescue crews located a deceased party in the residence.
Daryl E SEYMOUR, aged 63 years was pronounced at scene by the Regional Coroner.
Detectives from the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the OPP are investigating along with the Ontario Fire Marshalls office.
ORIGINAL STORY
There was a serious house fire northeast of Napanee overnight.
Around 11 o’clock, Township of Stone Mills firefighters responded to a large house that was fully engulfed in flames on County Road 6 between Colebrook and Bethel Roads.
According to Twitter accounts from the scanner monitor Monitoring Quinte, people may have been trapped inside.
The fire was under control after midnight and there were reports one person was unaccounted for.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been called to help with the investigation and a coroner was also called to the scene.
