The annual Kiwanis Club of Belleville Chicken BBQ goes this Wednesday.
2019 celebrates the 39th edition of the BBQ, which raises many thousands of dollars to support Kiwanis programs and charities.
Charcoal gets lit at 4:30 a.m., with the first chickens on around 5:30 a.m.
It total, 1,700 dinners will be served, which includes a half chicken, potato, coleslaw, roll, and butter.
Almost half of the meals will be served between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. with the rest going until they are all sold.
It takes more than 100 volunteers to put it all together. The BBQs are at the Belleville Curling Club.
