Members of the public will get a chance this week to see what is happening in connection with the updating of Belleville’s official plan.
The city is in the midst of a four-phase process updating the official plan.
This includes an analysis of land requirements.
The update establishes a long-term vision for future residential growth and economic development.
The plan examines future population and employment growth up to 20 years.
Manager of Policy Planning Stephen Ashton tells Quinte News that by this fall we would see some policies related to the Housing Summit Belleville held recently.
A Public Information Centre is being held on Monday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at city hall.
The consultants will then present the information to the city’s Planning Committee meeting, which begins at 5:30 p.m.
