Belleville, Ontario – On the 30th of May at 4:30 p.m. police attended a north end residence with regards to a domestic situation that was taking place. Upon arrival, investigation revealed that an ex-husband had attended the complainant’s residence and damaged the doorway before leaving. Police contacted the 27 year old Belleville resident and he attended The Belleville Police Service later in the evening where he was charged with mischief and released on a promise to appear along with an officer in charge undertaking. He was given a court date of June 17th.
Impaired driving motor vehicle collision
Belleville, Ontario – On the 30th of May shortly after 9:00 p.m. police received a call with regards to a vehicle that had struck a pole in the area of North Front and Tracey St before pulling into a nearby parking lot. The caller also indicated their concern with the sobriety of the driver. Shortly after police arrived they took the 58 year old driver into custody for impaired driving and transported him back to The Belleville Police Service where he provided two samples of his breath to one of the service’s Breathalyzer technicians which resulted in readings of over three times the legal limit. Foxboro resident Wayne Weinhold was released on a promise to appear on one count of impaired driving with a June 17 court date.
Assault
Belleville, Ontario – On the 30th of May at 10:45 p.m. police attended a west end apartment complex with regards to an assault by a border on her landlord. The assault consisted of a kick and foot stomp but no injuries were sustained. 27 year old Belleville resident Heather Harper was charged with one count of assault and released on a promise to appear with a court date of June 27th.
