PHOTOS: Dancing with the Stars Quinte recap

The 2019 Volunteer and Information Quinte Dancing With The Stars has wrapped up, and it is another hit evening.

More than 1,200 made it to CAA Arena on Friday night, to see local celebrities go head to head, with funds going to VIQ.

Coming in third spot was Kim Bushell of Donini Chocolate and Dave Allen of the YMCA. In second was Emily Quesnelle of Starboard Communications and BJ the DJ. Winning the 2019 Mirror Ball trophy was Dr Brett Cerqua of East Hill Dental and Kelly Norris of Electrolab Limited.

Jill Raycroft is the CEO for the Belleville Chamber, and danced with Bruce Bell of The Intelligencer/Post Media.

Executive Director of Bay of Quinte Tourism Dug Stevenson says it is a lot of for for 100 seconds.

Kim Bushell of Donini Chocolate had to welcome in a new partner half way through rehearsals. She said welcoming in Dave Allen of the YMCA and finishing things was wonderful.

Event organizer Tracey Legault-Davis of VIQ says it was a great night.

Buzz Collins of Rock 107 danced with Police Inspector Sheri Meeks. They danced to “Believer” by Imagine Dragons, one of his late son Garrett’s favourite songs.

The 2018 funds total was over $40,000 and the 2019 total is expected in the coming days.
