Another 100 jobs are expected to be created as a Belleville business expands.
The city announced Thursday morning Proctor and Gamble will undergo a significant expansion beginning next month.
P&G Belleville plant manager Joe Folk says this additional investment in the Belleville facility is great news for the community and the entire region.
He says the approval of this additional business for the Belleville site is the result of strong confidence in the continued growth of the Always brand.
They will break ground for the new development beginning in June and their first production run is scheduled for March 2020.
The building addition and the new equipment represents a capital investment of more than $100 million and brings the square footage of the Belleville P&G plant to roughly a million square feet.
